Brittney and James tied the knot on May 13th, 2017. I met Brittney and her father at the January Wedding Odyssey Bridal Show and we quickly connected as we shared the same name, her last name was my moms name, and her father was from the East Coast, like my mom.
After the show Brittney, James, and I met up to discuss their day in detail. The brought some samples of invitation styles they liked and wanted to incorporate this beautiful detailed drawing of their venue, John R Park Homestead. To be honest, I didn’t know this beautiful property existed in the Windsor-Essex area. What a great find Britt!
To start at the beginning, the Bridal Shower. Brittney had a clear vision for her shower invitations. She wanted a floral and dark background. I designed a recipe card that matched her invitations to be included for her guests. Recipe cards are quite popular, it’s a great idea and a great way to gain some great new recipes from friends and family. The shower favours were EOS Lip Balms. You know, the ones that are round like a little ball? Well, we created a card with the perfect sized hole to hook onto the balm with a big ring on the outside.
Now, onto the big day. Brittney and Jame chose to do a beautiful letterpress invitation with the drawing of John R Park Homestead at the top, accompanied by a Details card and RSVP. The design is simple, understated, but clean and classy.
